We are so excited to announce our second annual Green-A-Thon Event on Saturday, April 26th 9-2pm during Earth Week!!! We want to invite you to celebrate Earth Day with us – Southeast Seattle style.

Earth Day is a great chance to reconnect to one other and our planet by educating, celebrating and working together for environmental justice. GREEN-A-THON is a high visibility volunteer outreach event to increase knowledge of and access to the green economy in Southeast Seattle neighborhoods.

On April 26 more than 75 Got Green volunteers – organized into teams like The Carbon Sinkers, Environmental Bus-tice, Ain’t Nothin But A Green Thang, and 2Fab4U –will hit the doors of the Rainier Valley and Beacon Hill talking to families about green issues and community organizing. Green-A-Thon teams will distribute 500 free food compost buckets stuffed with farmers market dollars and info on how going green can benefit our communities’ pocketbooks and health.

If you want to be involved, please email Kristyn Joy at kristyn@gotgreen.org

Celebration starts at Emerald City Bible Fellowship at 9am and door belling runs until 2pm.
7728 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98118

Got Green is a Southeast Seattle based grassroots organization that organizes communities of color and low income communities to assert leadership in the green movement and reap the benefits of the green economy. Proceeds from the Green-A-Thon will directly support our Targeted Local Hire Campaign; Women in Green/Access to Healthy Foods Campaign; and the leadership of our Young Workers in the Green Economy members.
