This Wednesday, October 3rd. One day to come together to give green, get green, go green!
There are 12 days remaining before the first annual Green-A-Thon, Got Green’s signature fundraising event. We are halfway to raising our goal of $15,000 and more than halfway to recruiting our goal of 80 volunteers. Individuals are taking the lead as Team Captains and others are stepping up as members of those teams. Way to go!
The more people we have going door-to-door on October 13th the more free CFL light bulbs we can distribute to low-income households. The more money we raise the more work Got Green can do towards putting people of color and women to work in good, green jobs and ensuring access to healthy foods for all families in our community.
Let’s all come together on one day to make this happen! This Wednesday, October 3rd, is The Give Green Blitz (Day). A day where we all reach out to our friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to tell them about Got Green’s inspiring and important work and ask them to show support by making a donation to the Green-A-Thon.
Make phone calls. Send emails. Text like crazy. Chat with people during breaks at work. Post to your Facebook wall and other peoples’ walls with a link to the Green-A-Thon webpage. Reach out in any way you can think to spread the word about Got Green and ask for support.
Just think…by working together on one day…we can reach our fundraising goal AND move steps closer towards more equity and opportunity in our community!
